She is an English actress, comedian and author, who broke into the limelight in 1983 after starring in the same year's comedy-drama, "Educating Rita" where she played the titular role, Susan "Rita" White. Julie Walters went ahead to feature in the 1987 comedy film, "Personal Services" where she played Christine Painter. Few of her works are namely; "Second City Firsts" (1975), "Prick Up Your Ears" (1987), and "Intimate Relations" (1996).
