Justin Henry is an American Hollywood actor and entrepreneur. He is among the youngest actors to receive an Oscar nomination, having been nominated at age eight.
Early life & Education
Justin Henry is originally from Rye, New York. He attended the all-boys preparatory day school, Brunswick School, Connecticut.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Skidmore College, New York.
Acting career
His debut acting role came when he was eight years of age, in the 1979 comedy film “Kramer vs. Kramer.” He became the youngest Oscar and Golden Globe Award nominee when he was nominated for his role in the movie. Henry then went on to star in many films during the 1980s including, “Fantasy Island,” “Sixteen Candles,” and “Sweet Hearts Dance.” By the age of 17, Henry had starred in about six films.
After his graduation in 1993, his next famous appearance was in the 1997 drama TV series “ER.” In 2007, he starred in Warner Bros’ direct-to-video comedy film, “The Junior Defenders.”
Trivia
In 1998, Henry contributed to the founding of the famous Slamdunk Film Festival. It was an alternate show for the Sundance Film Festival. However, city park officials terminated the festival in 2003.
