Family
Justin Moore was born in Poyen, Arkansas in the United States. His father was called Tommy Ray Moore and his mother Charlene Moore.
Justin Moore and his wife, Kate, together have four children – Three girls and a boy.
Career Highlights
Moore started his music career in high school where he was seen performing with several music bands.
When he finished school, he left for Nashville, Tennessee where he sang in his Uncle's Southern rock band.
In 2002, Moore met Jeremy Stover, who was a producer in Nashville. Jeremy later introduced him to Scott Borchetta, a giant in the music industry. Scott was working around launching his record label "The Valory Music Co".
In 2008, Moore was granted a record deal after further negotiations and involvement with Scott.
Moore released his first digital single "I Could Kick Your Ass" with Valory music Co.
His first radio single, "Back That Thing Up", which was produced by Jeremy Stover and co-written by Randy Houser and Moore's producer, received many listings and reviews, it further landed on number 38 on the 'Hot Country Songs chart' of the US Billboard.
Though his songs recorded hit after hit Moore did not relent he kept reaching for the stars. On August 11, the record label launched the album "Justin Moore". He co-wrote nine out of the listed ten tracks in the album.
This album made it to No. 3 on the Top Country Albums chart.
Songs in the album include "backwoods", "How I got to be this way", and "A small town USA" among other melodic songs.
Later in February 2011, Moore released another single titled "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away''. His rendition appeared at 46 on the 'Hot Country songs chart'. Then in June 2011, the song rose to number 3 Top 10 hits on the 'country songs chart', moved to number 2, and finally number 1 hit.
In August 2016, "Kinda Don't Care", the number four of Moore's albums was released with one of its songs "You Look Like I Need a Drink", rising to No. 1 single on the Country Airplay charts.
In February 2019, Moore brought out his much-anticipated album, "Late Nights and Longnecks", capturing "The Ones That Didn't Make It Back Home" as its lead single.
Moore together with his label again released his sixth album "Straight Outta the Country" in March 2021.
Awards and Nominations
In 2011, Moore won the award for the 'Mainstream Inspirational Country Song' category with his song "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" at the Inspirational Country Music Awards.
His song "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" also won the inspirational video category at the Inspirational Country Music Awards 2011.
He was nominated for the category of ‘Breakthrough Artist’ at the 2012 American Country Awards.
In 2014 Moore won the Academy of Country Music Awards, New Artist of the Year category.
