About Karel Gott
He was a Czech musical artist and painter, who is mostly referred to as Czechoslovakia and Czech Republic's most successful male singer. After having participated in some singing competitions, Karel Gott officially launched his singing career in 1960 and went ahead to study opera under Konstantin Karenin.
His musical success cuts across German-speaking countries, where he was acknowledged as "the Golden Voice of Prague". Throughout his singing career, he is noted to have dropped more than 100 albums.
Family Life
His father was Karel Gott while his mother was Marie Gottová. He got married to Ivana Gottová in 2008 and they both stayed married until his death in 2019. His children include; singer – Charlotte, Dominika, Lucie and actor, Nelly Gottova.

Between 1996 and 2017, he won the award for "Male Singer" 20 times at the Český Slavík Awards.
Gott received the "Radio Impuls Favorite Song" at the 2016 Český Slavík Awards.
He earned a "Lifetime Achievement" award at the 2017 Goldene Henne.
