She is from an Irish background and was raised in a Catholic family. She graduated from Park Ridge High School in 1979. Duffy is also an alumnus of the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned a BSc degree in Recreational Therapy. Additionally, she holds the required certification as a hospital chaplain.
Career Highlights
She began modeling and appearing in various TV commercials in the late 1980s. However, in the 1990s, she worked as a video jockey for MTV and was popularly known as “Duff.” She also modeled for “Revlon” and “Almay Cosmetics.” Eventually, she landed several minor roles in a few notable American films such as “Blank Check” and “Dumb and Dumber.”
She worked with renowned filmmaker Michael Moore on several of his TV shows, including “The Awful Truth.” In 1994, she was a co-host for the “Elvis: The Tribute.” In 2006, she hosted TLC’s “House of Tiny Hours” and worked extensively with NYC Media in 2008.
Personal Life
In 1995, she was diagnosed with neurosarcoidosis and later authored several books on her experience surviving chronic pain.
