About Kathy Bates
Kathy Bates is an award-winning American actress who first gained international stardom portraying the character Annie Wilkes in the 1990 film Misery, for which she won her first Academy Award. Her other popular film credits include 1995's Dolores Claiborne, 1997's Titanic and 2011's You May Not Kiss the Bride. She is also known on television for her works on the CBS comedy series Two and a Half Men and the anthology horror series American Horror Story.
Personal Life
She and Tony Campisi got married in 1991. The marriage was childless and ended in divorce in 1997.
Trivia
Her first public nude appearance was in the 1991 film At Play in the Fields of the Lord.
In 2003, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Having successfully overcome the illness, she suffered again from breast cancer.
