He is an author and actor. He also experimented with film making. He first acted at the age of ten in “Ferdinand the Bull” though it was never made public. In high school, he put together a film titled “Demigods” with a few people he managed to convince to be part. The title was later changed to “Escape Episode”. The movie was about occultism. His movies were usually violent and focused on homosexuality.
He authored “Hollywood Babylon” in 1959. In 2001 he teamed up with David K. Frasier to write “Suicide in the Entertainment Industry”
Personal Life
Born in Santa Monica, California, he was named Kenneth Wilbur Anglemyer. As a young boy, he was interested in occultism even though his family was made up of Christians. His love for arts was influenced by his grandmother. He initially did not want to really explain why he changed his last name to Anger but later on, he hinted that it was done for easy remembrance. He also made it public that he was gay.
Challenges and controversy
He moved out of his parent’s home after he was arrested over his sexual preference. It was at this time that he changed his last name to Anger. He tried drugs like Peyote and Cannabis. He admitted to being a pagan and a devotee of Lucifer but went on to explain that he was not a Satanist.
