Kenneth Branagh is an Irish actor, director and producer known for starring in such films as Wild Wild West, Conspiracy, Valkyrie, and The Boat That Rocked. He played Gilderoy Lockhart in the 2002 film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. He is also known for his film adaptations of Shakespeare's plays – most notably in the 1989 film Henry V, for which he received the Academy Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Director.
Personal Life
He was married to actress Emma Thompson from 1989 to 1995. His second marriage was to Lindsay Brunnock in 2003.
Trivia
In 1994, he refused to accept the offer of the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).
