Kenneth Lay was an American businessman and former chairman and CEO of Enron Corporation who gained worldwide notoriety for the instrumental role he played in perpetuating the fraud that led to the collapse of Enron Corporation. In 2006, he was convicted on fraud and conspiracy charges and would have faced decades in prison had he not died of a heart attack months before his sentencing.
Personal Life
From 1966 to 1982, he was married to Judith Diane Ayers. His second and final marriage was to his former secretary Linda Lay in 1982. The marriage lasted until his death in 2006. He had five children, including three stepchildren.
