Hearn worked with the band ‘Look People’ on a few albums including “More Songs About Hats and Chickens” and “Small Fish, Big Pond”.
In 1995, as a part of ‘Rheostatics’, he worked on “Music Inspired by the Group of Seven”, “The Whale Music Concert, 1992” and “Green Sprouts Music Week 1993”.
He later started releasing his own music starting with “Mothball Mint” in 1997, then in 2011 he worked on “Cloud Maintenance” before “Days in Frames” in 2014 and then “Calm and Cents” in 2019.
