King Diamond is a Danish heavy metal musician best known for being the vocalist of the Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate. He is also known for being the vocalist of the eponymous band King Diamond, which he formed along with bassist Timi Hansen and guitarist Michael Denner in 1985.

Despite being a staunch follower of Satanism, he does not see it as a religion. According to him, he does not believe in anything religious since religion makes no sense.
In 2010, he underwent a triple-bypass surgery after suffering multiple heart attacks.
During his live performances, he uses a microphone handle made of two leg bones in the shape of a cross.
