About Kirk Hammett
Kirk Hammett made his mark in the music world after joining the band known as Metallica in 1983. That same year, the American guitarist helped the band to record their maiden album, which was titled “Kill 'Em All”. Prior to joining the music group, he founded and performed with a band called Exodus.
Hammett is also a writer who, in 2012, published his first book entitled “Too Much Horror Business”.
Family
He has a Filipino, Irish, and Scottish background and was born to Dennis and Teofila Hammett.
Marriages and Children
In 1987, he wedded a lady called Rebecca, but the union lasted for three years. He later married Lani in 1998 and within ten years they had given birth to two kids namely Angel, and Vincenzo.
Achievements
The guitarist has won lots of awards with the Metallica band – they include ‘Grammy Awards’ and ‘American Music Awards’.
Trivia
He started a horror convention in 2014 known as “Kirk Von Hammett's Fear FestEvil”.
