Personal Life & Career
Klaus Voormann is the son of a physician and had five male siblings. He wanted to study music but his parents opted for him to study commercial art so he started learning at the Meisterschule für Gestaltung.
He once went to Kaiserkeller club in Hamburg and heard the Beatles performing rock and roll and considering their talent and that being the first time he was hearing rock and roll, he was blown away.
He got really interested in music and decided to pursue it. He has partnered with a lot of incredible artists to release great tracks.
Kaiserkeller worked on the album “Straight Up” with the band Badfinger in 1971 then the following year, he worked with Peter Frampton on “Wind of Change”. With George Harrison, he worked on “The Concert for Bangladesh”, “Extra Texture (Read All About It)”, “All Things Must Pass” and “Living in the Material World”. He also worked with Jackie Lomax on “Is This What You Want?” in 1969.
