About Kolo Touré
Retired football player Kolo Touré was signed by Arsenal in 2002 from the Ivoirian team, ASEC Mimosas and by the 2003 season, he had made it into the club’s first team line-up.
He also played for English Premier League teams Manchester City (2009-2013) and Liverpool (2013-2016) before moving to Scottish Premier League team, Celtic in 2016.
From 2000 to 2015, Touré also represented his country, Cote d’Ivoire in international tournaments such as the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.
Family Life
He is the elder brother of Ivoirian football icon, Yaya Touré. The brothers played together in Manchester City for a while. He also had a younger brother, Ibrahim, who played football – he died in 2014. He has been married to a woman named Awo.
Achievements
He won the English Premier League with both Arsenal and Manchester City and was a member of the Ivoirian squad which won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Trivia
He became a first team coach at Leicester City in 2019.
