About Konnan
Konnan is the ring name of professional wrestling manager and retired wrestler Charles Ashenoff. He made his professional wrestling debut in the late 1980s with the Universal Wrestling Association. He became a household name in the United States and in Mexico. In the US, he was known for his time with promotions such as the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He gained popularity in Mexico while working with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA).
Family Life
Born Carlos Santiago Espada Moises, his name was changed to Charles Ashenoff after he was adopted by his stepfather, Richard Ashenoff. He was two years old when he moved from Santiago, Cuba to Boston in the United States with his mother, Vilma Moises Alfonso. He was married to Sandra Ashenoff from 1998 to 2001. In 2004, he married Sonia Brown.
Achievements
He won titles such as the AAA Americas Heavyweight Championship, the CML World Heavyweight Championship and the WCW World Television Championship.
