Personal Life
She was given the name Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino at birth. Her parents were Benigno Aquino Jr. and Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino. Her father was into politics when she was young. She had four siblings of which one by name Benigno S. Aquino III was once the President of the Philippines. While still young, her father got arrested and her mother was left to cater for them. When she got older, she started a relationship with the actor Phillip Salvador and after a son, she moved on to Joey Martinez who she accused of giving her STD. In 2005, she married James Yap who was a basketball player but left him. In 2021, she got engaged to Mel Senen Sarmiento who was a politician.
Career
She started acting in the 1990’s with the Regal films and was cast in “Pido Dida: Sabay Tayo”. She was later cast in “The Vizconde Massacre Story” and “Elsa Castillo-Ang Katotohanan”. She was also offered a role in “Feng Shui” then in “The Ring”. She has worked as a talk show host for different programs including “Morning Girls with Kris Aquino”.
