Kwame Brown is a retired American basketball player, who is noted to have been the very first number one draft picks to be appointed directly from high school. He is also noted to have been the first overall to be picked by the Washington Wizards at the NBA draft in 2001.
During his playing time in high school, he had a remarkable record and was eventually named into the McDonald's All-American Team in 2001.
During his career-playing time, Brown had played for clubs such as; Los Angeles Lakers (2005 - 2008), Memphis Grizzlies (in 2008), the Wizards (2001 - 2005), and Golden State Warriors (2011 - 2012).

His parents are father, Willie Brown and mother, Joyce Brown. He has a brother named Akeem Brown. He got married to former teacher, Marcia Brown. His children include; Kwame and Lauren Brown.
