About Kwon Soonyoung
Kwon Soonyoung, whose stage name is Hoshi, is a South Korean dancer, choreographer and singer. His fame is highly linked to him being a member of the Korean boy band, Seventeen. He is noted for his performances as the leader of the band’s sub-unit, the performance unit.
He debuted with the group in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment, after training for four years. He has made contributions to Seventeen’s albums, Love & Letter, Teen, Age and An Ode.
In March 2018, he joined bandmates, Seungkwan and DK to release a single titled Just Do It under the sub-unit name, BSS.

As a member of Seventeen, Kwon has won numerous awards, with noteworthy ones being the Asia Artist Awards’ 2016 Best Star Award in Music, the Gaon Chart Music Awards’ World Rookie Award in 2016, the Mnet Asian Music Awards’ World Performer Award in 2016 and the 2019 Japan Gold Disc Awards’ Best 3 New Artists (Asia).
