Background
The Konigsberg, Germany-born met her husband at an ice cream joint in Tel-Aviv. The couple tied the knot with Yitzhak in late 1948, during a temporary truce in the 1948 Independence War.

In 1945, she joined the Palmach, the elite commando unit of the Haganah, where he served on a Kibbutz.
Three years after husband’s first term as Prime Minister, she was caught in a political scandal that eventually led to his resignation from the premiership.
After her husband was assassinated, she became a voice for leftists as well as the peace activist. She was particularly critical of Benjamin Netanyahu during his first term as Prime Minister.
