About Lenny Kravitz
Lenny Kravitz is an African-American artist who first gained widespread popularity, albeit in a negative way, when he co-wrote Madonna’s song "Justify My Love" in 1990. The controversial but successful song produced rumors of Kravitz – married at the time – having an affair with Madonna. Fueled by his emotions following his divorce with his then-wife, Lisa Bonet, Kravitz released his second studio album Mama Said, led by the hit singles "It Ain't Over 'til It's Over" and "Always on the Run". To date, Kravitz has ten studio albums under his belt, with hit songs like "Are You Gonna Go My Way", "Fly Away", and "Dig In".
The Grammys
Kravitz has nine Grammy Award nominations, winning a record four in a row for the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance (1999 – 2002).
Trivia
When recording his songs in the studio, Kravitz usually plays all the instruments.
