About Leon Battista Alberti
Leon Battista Alberti’s knowledge spread across many fields. Widely known for his works as an architect and artist, the Italian was also a philosopher, poet, and linguist.
His first assignment as an architect came in 1446 when he worked on the famous Rucellai Palace. He also started the design of the San Sebastiano church, but was unable to complete it.
He was known to be a writer and released many publications with some titled “De picture”, “De re aedificatoria” and “Philodoxus”.
