Alex Christophe Dupont, was his name at birth. He is a French star, born to a French father and an American mother.
Career
He started his career on the low as a film critic and worked on a few films but did not really make an impact until in 1984 when he released “Boy Meets Girl”. About two years later, he again blew the minds of his fans with the release of “Mauvais Sang”. Despite the criticism the film faced, it made it to the 37th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival. In the early 1990’s, he worked on “Les Amants du Pont-Neuf” as a director.
In 2012, he released the film titled “Holy Motors” which he wrote and directed. This film also made it to the “2012 Cannes Film Festival”. About nine years later, he again worked on “Annette” as a director. Other works he has directed include “Strangulation Blues” and “42 One Dream Rush”.
