About Leslie Cheung
Leslie Cheung was a celebrated Hong Kong pop singer and actor, who throughout his career released a number of hugely successful albums, including 1987'sSummer Romance and 1995's Most Beloved. He is regarded as one of the most important figures in the Cantopop industry. As an actor, he starred in several successful films such as 1991's Days of Being Wild and 1994's He's a Woman, She's a Man.

Throughout his career, he won numerous music and film awards, including two Hong Kong Film Awards and thirteen RTHK Top 10 Gold Song Awards.
Trivia
In 1990, he officially became a citizen of Canada.
In a 2001 interview with Time magazine, he revealed for the first time that he was bisexual. The confession made him the first entertainer from Hong Kong to admit to being bisexual.
He committed suicide in 2003 by leaping from the 24th floor of a hotel building in Hong Kong Island. According to the suicide note he left behind, he was suffering from severe depression.
