About LeVar Burton
LeVar Burton is an American actor, director and author who achieved international stardom for portraying Kunta Kinte in ABC's miniseries Roots. He is also famous for playing Geordi La Forge in the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1987 to 1994 and in the Star Trek film series. From 1983 to 2006, he hosted the famous PBS children's series Reading Rainbow.
Personal Life
His son Eian was born in 1980. He married Cozart Burton in 1992. He and Cozart welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Michaela in 1994.
Trivia
In 1990, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
