About Lindsay Davenport
Lindsay Davenport debuted professionally as a tennis player in February 1993. A former singles world number 1 for 98 weeks, she is also one of the only five women since 1975 to have attained the position at the end of the year at least four times. Besides her stellar singles career, she is also known to have excelled in her doubles career, which resulted in 38 WTA Tour titles. In 1996, she represented the United States in the Women’s singles event of the Olympic Games, winning the gold medal.
Family Life
Her parents are Wink Davenport, a former U.S. volleyball team member and Ann Davenport, who has served as the Southern California Volleyball Association’s president. She has two elder sisters; Shannon and Leiann. She has four children with Jon Leach, a former professional tennis player and her husband since 2003.
Achievements
In 2014, she was made an inductee of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
