About Lisa Stansfield
Lisa Stansfield is an English singer-songwriter and actress who first gained recognition winning the 1980 singing competition Search for a Star. She co-founded the band Blue Zone in 1984 and began a successful solo career after the demise of Blue Zone in 1988. Her debut solo album Affection was released in 1989 and spawned hits such as All Around the World and Live Together. Her other albums include Real Love, Lisa Stansfield and Seven. She made her film debut in the 1999 film Swing.
In 1987, she and designer Augusto Grassi tied the knot. Four months later, the marriage ended in divorce. Her second marriage was to longtime boyfriend Ian Devaney in 1998.
Throughout her career, she has amassed numerous awards including multiple Ivor Novello Awards, Silver Clef Awards and Brit Awards, among other prestigious music awards.
