About Lloyd Banks
Lloyd Banks is an American rapper known for being a member of hip hop group G-Unit, which he founded with his friends Tony Yayo and 50 Cent. He is also known for his solo works such as his highly successful 2004 debut solo album The Hunger for More, which produced one of his biggest hits On Fire.
Awards
He won the Mixtape Artist of the Year award at the 2004 Mixtape Awards. His hit song On Fire earned him his first Grammy Award nomination in 2005.
Trivia
In 2001, a day before the September 11 terrorist attacks, he was shot twice outside a nightclub in Queens. He managed to run to a nearby hospital for treatment. He woke up the next morning only to watch in shock from his hospital bed as the Twin Towers collapsed.
