About Lomas Brown
Former pro footballer, Lomas Brown played in the NFL for 18 seasons, dominating the league from the 1980s to the early 2000s. In 2018, he became a color analyst for the Detroit Lions, his first professional team.
High School and College Career
Brown was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he attended Miami Springs High School.
He attended the University of Florida and played for the Florida Gators from 1981-1984. He was the team captain and won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for best blocker.
Professional Career
The Lions selected Brown, who was often deployed in the offensive tackle position, in the 1985 NFL Draft and he played with the team for 11 seasons. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning the Super Bowl XXXVII with the latter.
Awards
Brown has been inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame. He was also on the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 1985 and a seven-time Pro Bowl participant.
