Lorne David Lipowitz, better known as Lorne Michaels is a Canadian-American television producer, actor, comedian and writer noted for creating the award-winning "Saturday Night Live", producing the "Late Night" series, "The Kids in the Hall", as well as the "The Tonight Show".
Family Life
He was born to Henry Abraham Lipowitz and Florence Becker, and grew up with two younger siblings.
He was married to Rosie Shuster from 1971 to 1980 – Susan Forristal from 1981 to 1987. He tied the knot with his former assistant Aĺice Barry in 1991.
Achievements
He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1999.
Lorne Michaels was awarded a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in 2003.
