About Louis Prima
Louis Prima was an iconic American jazz trumpeter, singer-songwriter, and bandleader who earned the moniker “King of the Swingers”. He had a long and exciting career spanning over half a century.
He followed the musical trends of the moment, beginning with a seven-piece New Orleans band in the 1920s.
With his brother, he formed his first band when he was twelve years old. He's released several successful albums, including "Breaking It Up," "The Wildest," "Just a Gigolo," and "The King of Clubs."
Aside from his professional music career, he was also an actor who starred in a number of successful films including "The Jungle Book", "Senior Prom", and "Hey Boy! Hey Girl!”.

His parents were Angelina Caravella, and Anthony Prima. He was raised with three siblings called Leon Prima, Elizabeth Prima, and Marguerite Prima. He married five times which includes marriages to Keely Smith, and Gia Maione. He had four children called Louis Prima Jr., Lena Prima, Toni Prima, and Luanne Prima.
