About Luther Campbell
Luther Campbell is an American rapper, promoter, entrepreneur, record executive and actor. He performed under the stage names Uncle Luke, Luke Skyywalker and Solo Luke and is known best for his time as the leader of the now-defunct 2 Live Crew rap group, which he initially managed before becoming a member in 1986. As a solo artist, he has released hit singles such as “Raise the Roof”, “Scarred” and “I Wanna Rock”.
Family Life
His father was Jamaican and his mother was from the Bahamas. He was raised in Miami, Florida as the last of five sons. He has seven children, the last of whom is from his marriage to Kristin Thomas.
Trivia
In 2008, he appeared in his own television show, “Luke’s Parental Advisory” on VH1. He published an autobiography titled “Luther Campbell: The Book of Luke”.
