Background & Early Life
Lyssa is the ninth child of the famous American bounty hunter and bail bondsman Duane “Dog Chapman.” During childhood, she was often called “Baby Lyssa” to prevent confusion with her mother, Lyssa Rae Brittain (“Big Lyssa”). After being raised by her father until age, she was sent to live with her mother in Alaskan.
Lyssa gave birth to her first child at the age of 15. The father of the child was later arrested and charged with statutory rape.
Career
Lyssa worked with her father when she was eighteen at Da Kine Bail Bonds – the family’s bail bonds enterprise. She later appeared on the A&E TV series “Dog the Bounty Hunter.” The series narrated the experiences of Duane Chapman as a bail bondsman and bounty hunter.
In 2019, she opened her online clothing line, “BABY BY LYSSA CHAPMAN.” She is also the founder of “Proper Choices, Inc.”
Personal life
In February 2009, she married Brahman Golanti and had a child with him. They divorced after a year. As of 2018, she was engaged to Evensen Leiana.
Controversies
In 2011, she was arrested for assaulting the police and causing criminal property damage.
