About Mabel Normand
Mabel Normand was a popular actress who appeared in loads of Keystone Studios produced films during the 1910s and 1920s. After making her debut in 1910, the movie star went on to appear in many films including “Why He Gave Up” and “Her Friend the Bandit”.

She was also known for her roles behind the scenes. She was considered as one of the earliest female filmmakers in the United States. Normand directed the 1914 film “Hello, Mabel” and “Mabel Lost and Won” which was released the following year.

Her parents are Mary Drury and Clodman George Normand. She was the wife of Lew Cody, a stage actor.
Trivia
She starred alongside popular actor Charlie Chaplin in quite a number of movies.
The actress was named as one of the suspects in the killing of film director William Desmond Taylor.
A number of her films were banned in the state of Ohio after her chauffeur shot Courtland S. Dines, an oil dealer.
