About Magne Furuholmen
One of Norway's most well-known and eclectic artists is the inventive and genre-defying Magne Furuholmen. In recognition of his contributions to Norwegian music and his international success, King Harald honored him with the Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav.
Career and Notable Works
In 1989, he made his artistic debut as a sculptor and visual artist. His greatest work to date, a ceramic sculpture park in the Oslo region made of 50 tonnes of clay, debuted in June 2016. The work is among his permanent public commissions. It is titled "Resonance" for the city of Bergen.
A well-known visual artist, he commonly uses materials such as glass, etching, and woodcut. He has had work displayed all over the world.

He's a member of the Norwegian pop/rock band a-ha, best known for their 1985 breakout singles "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines On TV."
He and Waaktaar-Savoy wrote the majority of a-ha classics. Additionally, they sang "Celice," the song from The Da Vinci Code (2006), as well as the 1987 James Bond movie “The Living Daylights” anthem.
“Dragonfly”, the soundtrack to the 2001 film “Dragonflies”, and “Past Perfect Future Tense” (2004) are two solo works he has produced.
