Mai Asada is a talented Japanese former figure skater who rose to fame after her performance at the 2003 World Junior Championships. She has competed in a number of competitions including the Four Continents, and the World Junior Figure Skating Championships.
Aside from skating, Asada has also worked as a model, actress, and a television presenter. Some movies that she has been featured on include “The Country Girl” and “Kanagawa jounetsu asurîto”.
Family
She grew up together with her junior sister called Mao Asada, who’s also a famous figure skater.
Achievements
Throughout her career she won a couple of gold medals at the ISU Junior Grand Prix series.
Trivia
Before starting her skating career, she was trained as a ballet dancer.
