About Marge Piercy
Marge Piercy is a famous American writer. She issued her first poetry book in 1968 which was entitled “Breaking Camp”. Moving forward, the Detroit-born writer has published many books which include novels, short stories and poetry collections.
She’s widely celebrated for her bestselling novel “Gone to Soldiers” which was published in 1987. Some of her other well-known publications are titled “He, She and It” and “Woman on the Edge of Time”.
Family
She spent her childhood with her parents Robert and Bert Piercy. At the age of 23 years, she divorced her first husband. She went on to marry Robert Shapiro before tying the knot with writer Ira Wood.
Education
Piercy attended Mackenzie High School before attending the University of Michigan. In 1958, she graduated from Northwestern University.

Her works have earned her laurels like the Arthur C. Clarke Award, and the Hopwood Award.
