About Margot Kidder
Margot Kidder is a Canadian-born American actress who first gained international fame portraying the character Lois Lane in the 1978 superhero film Superman (Superman: The Movie) starring Christopher Reeve. She went on to reprise the character Lois Lane in multiple Superman sequels. Her other notable film credits include 1974's Black Christmas, 1979's The Amityville Horror and 2004'sDeath 4 Told.
Personal Life
Between 1976 and 1984, she was married and divorced three times. Her marriage to her first husband novelist Thomas McGuane produced her only child.
Trivia
She was involved in a serious car accident in 1990 that prevented her from working for about two years. She went bankrupt as a result of that.
She became an American citizen in 2005 just so she could vote against the then President of the United States, George W. Bush and protest against the United States' invasion of Iraq in 2003 without the fear of being deported.
She suffers from bipolar disorder.
