About Mario Benedetti
One of Latin America's most prodigious and successful authors Mario Benedetti was also a journalist. He was largely regarded as one of history's most prominent and respected authors. He was best known for his large collection of work which spanned many genres as well as his contribution to articles in magazines, newspapers, and a variety of publications and journals.
He wrote almost ninety novels and his work has been translated into over 20 languages. Among this author's most-famous works include "Montevideanos", " Primavera con una esquina rota", "Una carta de amor", and "La Colección".
Family
He married Luz López Alegre between 1946 and 2006. Their union came to an end when López passed on.
This author was an offspring of Matilde Farrugia and Brenno Benedetti.
