Early Years
A native of Torreón, he relocated to Mexico City at the age of 17 to study music at Mexico’s National Music School.
Career Highlights
He released his first solo album after he had signed with Sony Music Mexico in 2002. In 2006, with two other friends, he formed the band, Camilla. Their album, “Todo Cambió,” was a smash hit and earned them a Grammy nomination. The following year, the group racked up an Exito SACM Award with “Coleccionista de canciones” and “Quiero estar Contigo.” In 2010, the song “Mientes" on the “Dejarte de Amar" album made it onto national and international charts.
Outstanding Accolades for Camila
Their song “Perdon" garnered a Juventud Award for “Best Melodramatic Song.” Latin American Music Awards also named them the “Favorite Pop or Rock Duo or Group” in 2015.
