Mark Ian Addy is a seasoned actor and voice actor, who is best known for his varying television roles including ‘Hercules’ in drama series “Atlantis”, which run from 2013 to 2015, and ‘Detective Constable Gary Boyle’ in “The Thin Blue Line” (1995-1996).
Family life
His father is Ian Addy. He married Kelly Johnson Biggs in 1996 and has had three children with her namely, Charlie, Oscar and Ruby.
Achievements
The University of York awarded him an honorary doctorate in July 2019.
For his performance in the 1997 film, The Full Monty, he won a ‘Screen Actors Guild Award’.
He was nominated at the BAFTA Award for the category, “Best Actor in a Supporting Role”, as well as a Satellite Award for “Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture- Comedy or Musical”.
Trivia
He played the role of Robert Baratheon in 2011 hit drama series, “Game of Thrones”.
