The baseball player began nurturing his talent at an early age at Golden High School. After graduation, he proceeded to enroll in the University of Arizona.
Career
After Melancon obtained his degree, he focused primarily on baseball and made his professional debut with the New York Yankees in 2009. He played with the team till 2010 and then moved on to play for the Houston Astros from 2010 to 2011. Melancon joined the Boston Red Sox in 2012 and later played for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2013 to 2016. The baseball player had short spells with other teams such as the San Francisco Giants, the Atlanta Braves, and the San Diego Padres until he joined the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2022.
