About Mark Twain
Mark Twain was an American author and humorist best known for his novel The Adventures of Tom Sayer and its sequel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which is also known as "The Great American Novel". He was widely regarded as the greatest American humorist of his generation. His other novels include The Prince and the Pauper, Tom Sawyer Abroad and The Gilded Age: A Tale of Today, which is the only novel that he wrote with a collaborator.
Family Life
He was the sixth of seven children born to Jane and John Marshall Clemens. He married Olivia Langdon in 1870. The couple had four children: Langdon, Susy, Clara and Jean. He and Olivia stayed married until her death in 1904.
Trivia
In 1976, scientists named the asteroid 2362 Mark Twain after him.
