About Martin Braithwaite
Martin Christensen Braithwaite is a Danish professional footballer who joined FC Barcelona in February 2020 after being released by CD Leganés of the La Liga. He has also featured for the likes of Esbjerg fB, Toulouse Football Club and Middlesbrough. Although he was eligible to play for the Guyanese national team because of his father’s nationality, he turned down a 2012 invitation to play for them, choosing the Danish national team instead. He represented Denmark in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

He married Anne-Laure Louis, a French journalist and television personality. They announced that they were expecting their fourth child in 2020.

He won the Danish Cup in the 2012/2013 season as a member of Esbjerg fB. The team had also won the Danish 1st Division league in the previous season.
