Growing Up
Walser was born to Augusta Walser and Martin Walser. After graduating high school, young Walser went off to fight for Germany in World War II and later returned and enrolled in the University of Regensburg. He was also an alumnus of the University of Tübingen.
Career
The author began his writing career in 1951 after he published his popular write-up called "Beschreibung einer Form". He then went on to publish other popular works such as "Erfahrungen und Leseerfahrungen" in 1965, "Jenseits der Liebe" in 1978, "Deutsche Sorgen" in 1997 and "Ein sterbender Mann" in 2016.
Personal Life
The author married Katharina Neuner-Jehle in 1950.
