About Marty Stuart
Marty Stuart entered into the music industry in 1968 as a member of a gospel group known as The Sullivans. He later joined the band of singer Lester Flatt before he became one of the singers of Johnny Cash’s music group.
He started gaining attention in 1978 when he issued his first album as a solo artiste titled “With a Little Help from My Friends”. Five years later, he released a self-titled album which shot him to prominence. "Hillbilly Rock", the title track of his fourth album, is arguably his most popular work after the song peaked in the top ten of Billboard’s US Hot Country Songs.
Other projects
In 2002, he formed a music group known as ‘The Fabulous Superlatives’ which consisted of musicians like Kenny Vaughan and Chris Scruggs. Six years later, he began hosting a television program dubbed “The Marty Stuart Show” which premiered on the RFD-TV network. He has also worked with the Country Music Foundation.
Family
His five years marriage to singer Cindy Cash ended in 1988. He later tied the knot with fellow country singer Connie Smith in 1997.

His numerous awards include Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music, and the Americana Music Honors & Awards.
