The American singer did not enjoy any parental love growing up. At a young age, her mother gave her up at a children’s home which led to her adoption some few years later.
Gauthier went to Louisiana State University but dropped out two years later.
Career Highlight
She decided to be a songwriter during the 1990s and seven years later, she released her first album “Dixie Kitchen”. She then continued to release other albums such as “Drag Queens in Limousines”, “Mercy Now”, “The Foundling” and “Rifles & Rosary Beads”.
Her album “Mercy Now” gained her popularity. The album was released in 2005 and it comprised about 8 tracks, including “Falling Out of Love”, “Wheel Inside the Wheel” and “Drop in a Bucket”.
Gauthier has worked with record labels like Lost Highway and Signature Sounds.

The American songwriter bagged an Independent Music Award in 2000 for her album “Drag Queens In Limousines”.
