About Mary Hopkin
Hailing from Wales, Mary Hopkin is a songwriter as well as a singer. She rose to stardom and gained international recognition after one of her released singles titled “Those Were the Days” topped the 1968 UK singles chart.
She began singing at an early age. Hopkin joined her first music group named the Selby Set and Mary when she was still a teenager. Other singles of hers include “Temma Harbour”, “If You Love Me (Really Love Me)”, and “Think About Your Children”.
In 1969, Hopkin released her first music compilation titled “Post Card”. Followed by “Earth Song, Ocean Song” in 1971. Other albums she released after breaking up with Apple Records were “Painting by Numbers”, “Now and Then”, and “You Look Familiar” with Morgan Visconti.
Children and spouse
In 1971, she was wedded by Tony Visconti but they got separated in 1981. She has given birth to two children named Jessica Lee Morgan, and Morgan Visconti.

In 2007, Hopkin released an album called “Valentine” to mark her 57th birthday.
