About Matt Cameron
Hailing from the United States of America, Matt Cameron is a songwriter and drummer. He is famed for being a member of the music group, Pearl Jam. He started drumming at a very young age. He joined his first band at the age of thirteen.
In 1983, Cameron became a professional drummer. He has worked with several bands such as Skin Yard, feedback, The Prodigy, Temple of the Dog, and Queens of the Stone Age. In 1986, he joined Soundgarden and spent eleven years with the band. He later re-joined the band in 2010 and spent another seven years there. Cameron has been recognized among the top drummers in the world.
Aside from drumming, he has also written numerous songs for Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden including “In the Moonlight”, “Take a Long Way”, “Dance of the Clairvoyants”, “Room a Thousand Years Wide”, and “Blow Up the Outside World”.

He studied at Bonita Vista High School.
Family
In 1997, he tied the knot with April Acevez. His two children are Ray Cameron and Josie Cameron.

He won two Grammy awards with his former music band, Soundgarden.
