About Matt Greiner
Matt Greiner has long been setting new standards for heavy metal drumming as one-fifth of the metalcore group August Burns Red (ABR). Along with his drumming prowess, he co-founded Greiner & Kilmer, a business that provides top-notch drums.
He is regarded as one of the most prominent drummers in Christian metal music.
Early Life
He started playing piano at age 10 and was raised on Christian mainstream rock and worship. At age 15, he started playing in church after teaching himself how to play the drums. He received his early schooling at home.
Career
He collaborated with JB Brubaker, Jon Hershey, Brent Rambler, and Jordan Tuscan to create August Burns Red in 2003. The group released the "Looks Fragile After All" EP through CI Records in 2004. ABR's first album, "Thrill Seeker," was made available on November 8th, 2005. The group’s second and third albums "Messengers” and "Constellations" were released in 2007 and 2009, respectively.
Fearless Records published their 2015 album "Found In Far Away Places."
Trivia
The group's song "Identity" received a Grammy nomination for "Best Metal Performance."
His given name at birth is Matthew Wilson Greiner.
In addition to the drums, this star is also noted for playing the piano.
With fellow drummer and woodworker Kaleb Kilmer, he founded Greiner&Kilmer in 2011.
