About Matt Thiessen
American musician Matt Thiessen is one of the original founders of the rock group known as Relient K. In 2016, Thiessen, who mostly performs as the lead singer, helped them to release their ninth studio album titled “Air for Free”. His talent has helped the group to release many hit singles including "My Girlfriend" and "Must Have Done Something Right".
Aside from his work with the aforementioned band, the multi-talented musician has also performed with his group called ‘Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes’. In 2018, they issued their first album dubbed “Wind Up Bird”. Later that year, they toured with Owl City.
Family
His parents separated at the age of six. He was in a relationship with singer Katy Perry between 2003 and 2005. He was engaged to television personality Shannon Murphy before marrying record producer Emily Wright in 2015.
Trivia
He was featured on the album titled “Ocean Eyes” which was released by Owl City.
Thiessen began playing the piano at age 7.
